God grant me the strength to follow my own intuition. When I was younger, around high-school age, I remember having a phase where I didn't want to refer to my parents anymore as "mommy and daddy", because I thought they were childish. You know, nobody else referred to their parents as Mommy or Daddy, it seemed silly and I didn't want to sound like a baby. (The infallible logic of a teenager, lol.)
